This is the picture I plan to use as my "before":

I wore this dress often this summer mainly because it is comfortable and cool. Chubby, middle aged women fight the heat! I like bright colors, although this is too much. As you can see we have a lot of work to do. My plan is to gradually collect accessories first, while I slim down and work on the hair, makeup and wardrobe fundamentals.

Before

For a couple of years now, I have just loved reading vintage inspired blogs. Whether it's girls who mix vintage and modern styles like "A Beautiful Mess" and "Esme and the Laneway" or those who adhere to a specific time period, I love them all. I've decided to stop sitting on the sidelines and create my own vintage style. I won't lie, I have a long way to go. Currently, I'm a chubby, somewhat frumpy woman, who rarely dresses up, does her hair or wears makeup. Through this blog, in tiny manageable steps, I plan to document my transformation.
